DIVE COURSES
|
DISCOVER LAGOON DIVES
Dive in 1-3 meters in the fish filled sheltered marine reserve for approximately 40-50 minutes.
You will receive an introductory lesson (how to use your equipment) from one of our experienced professionals here in our dive centre. You will learn how to communicate under water, then be kitted out with scuba gear and walk into the lagoon for a safe entry to the underwater world.
Aroa Marine Reserve also has some of the best coral on the island and you will see a huge variety of tropical fish-up close and personal.

After your first breath under water, we swim out to the reef. One of the best spots on the island. There you will have 35-45 minutes just to relax, watch and get comfortable with your equipment….
If you love this your instructor will ask you if you want to do a Discover Scuba Dive….then you have to do some skills to be prepared for deeper water.
No experience needed! This is also a popular choice for certified divers who have not dived in a long time and wish to refresh their skills

PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
After your training in the lagoon/pool its time for the boat dive outside the reef for 1 or 2 dives in a maximum of 12 meters with a PADI Instructor.
The training and the boat dives can be done on the same day or on separate days if that suits you better. You can dive with us on other days while here on holiday too.
No experience needed!

| PADI SCUBA DIVER |
|
1 1/2 - 2 Day certification course qualifying you to dive anywhere anytime with a professional diver.
This course is actually 3/5ths of the PADI Open Water Course so you can complete the remaining part of the Open Water Diver course after this if you wish - here, at another destination or on your next holiday.
This is popular for anyone with a time constraint or if you are not sure whether you want to do a 3 day course.

This is also a suitable qualification for those divers who prefer to stay on shallow dives with a professional when they go on holiday.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER
In 3 to 4 days become a certified open water diver with the worlds leading internationally recognized dive course. This certification is valid indefinitely and can be used anywhere in the world. The course includes 2 half days of theory, 2-3 training sessions in the lagoon and/or pool, and 4 dives from the boat outside the reef.
The majority of the time you will get to train in the sheltered lagoon - which is the marine reserve straight across the road. It is abundant with fishlife, this means lots of fish to look at and plenty of room for swimming around and getting comfortable with the equipment, the sea water and the fish that surround you.
We will train you in the pool if conditions in the lagoon are not suitable.
You'll receive course materials, a log book and certification card.
All equipment is supplied but you are welcome to use your own snorkelling gear if you have it.
We also have a great selection of training materials and scuba and snorkelling gear if you wish to purchase your own.
All you will need is a swimsuit, towel, some energy and enjoyment of being in the water.

Its a great course and you will learn a lot in a few days. You will receive your tuition from experienced Instructors, we have English, German and French speaking instructors.
Additionally, we have training materials available in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch and Spanish.
We pride ourselves in quality training and that includes taking our students on enjoyable dive tours on their training dives, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the aquatic life around Rarotonga.
Referrals
If you have done some of your PADI training on any courses elsewhere but have not completed the course, you can complete it with us. You will just need to produce the paperwork for the sections you have already done. We are very flexible and should not have any problems to fit you in. Also, if for some reason you are unable to complete a course with us, we can sign off the completed sections on a referral form so you are able to finish the course another time or another place (within one years' time).

PADI ADVANCED
OPEN WATER DIVER
Expand your diving horizons during 5 enjoyable dives in a course that provides a variety of options including night diving, wreck diving, photography, underwater naturalist and more!
You can do this course in three half days or over as long time as you wish.
The two core dives that you must do are Deep and Navigation.
If you dont have time to do all 5 you can do any of these Adventure Dives and we can sign them off for you.

Each adventure dive consists of reading the relevant chapter from the Adventures in Diving Manual and completing a knowledge review. On the dive there may be some tasks for you to do to put that theory into practice so you can learn more about the topic chosen.
PADI’s Advanced Open Water Diver program has something for everyone.

REFRESHER
If its been a while since you last donned your scuba gear, you may want to refresh your skills before going out for a boat dive. With an instructor or divemaster, you will become familiar with the equipment, assembly/disassembly, buoyancy control, swimming with scuba and some scuba skills like recovering the regulator, clearing a mask etc. No doubt you will become comfortable again and be ready for a boat dive.
